Ecomectin 1%

Solution for subcutaneous injection 

For the treatment and control of infestations due to nematodes, gadfly larvae, mites, lice and other arthropods of animals.  
Target parasitic infections of cattle: dictyocauloses, ostertagiasis, haemonchosis, trichostrongyloidiasis, cooperiosis, chabertiosis, protostrongyliasis, oesophagostomosis, nematodirosis, bunostomosis, strongyloidiasis, trichocephalosis, thelasiosis, hypodermatosis, psoroptic mange, sarcoptic mange, demodicosis, siphunculatosis, and ixodid ticks.
Target parasitic infections of horses: parascaridosis, oxyurosis, strongylatosis, strongyloidiasis, parafilariosis, psoroptic mange, sarcoptic mange, chorioptosis, gastrofilosis, rhinoestrosis, and ixodid ticks.
Target parasitic infections of pigs: ascariasis, trichocephalosis, oesophagostomosis, metastrongylosis, ollulanosis, hyostrongylosis, strongyloidiasis, stephanofilariosis, siphunculatosis, and sarcoptic mange.
Target parasitic infections of sheep and goats: dictyocauloses, protostrongyliasis, haemonchosis, oesophagostomosis, strongyloidiasis, trichostrongyloidiasis, nematodirosis, cooperiosis, chabertiosis, trichocephalosis, melofagosis, oestrosis, sarcoptic and psoroptic mange.
Target parasitic infections of dogs: toxocariasis, toxascaridosis, uncinariosis, ancylostomiasis, strongyloidiasis, sarcoptic mange, notoedrosis, otodectosis, demodicosis, and siphunculatosis.
Target parasitic infections of cats: otodectosis, sarcoptic mange, notoedrosis, demodicosis, toxocariasis, ancylostomiasis, and dirofilariasis.
Target parasitic infections of rabbits: passalurosis, trichocephalosis, strongyloidiasis, trichostrongyloidiasis, sarcoptic mange, psoroptic mange, notoedrosis, and demodicosis.

Dosage and administration

Ecomectin 1% is administered by a single intramuscular or subcutaneous injection at the following dosage rate:
- Cattle, sheep, goats, horses: 1 ml per 50 kg body weight.
- Pigs: 1 ml per 33 kg body weight.
- Dogs: 0,2-0,4 ml  per 10 kg body weight.
- Cats: 0,02-0,04 ml  per 1 kg body weight.
- Rabbits: 0,1 ml per 5 kg body weight.
Treatment of mange (sarcoptic mange, demodicosis) and siphunculatosis: repeat the treatment in 7-10-days. Divide doses greater than 10 ml between two injection sites to reduce occasional discomfort or site reaction.
Prevention of hypodermatosis: inject 0,3 - 0,5 ml at the neck's lower third of animals weighing more than 150 kg or 0,2 ml to young animals weighing up to 150 kg. Treatment should be carried out during the period from September 15 to November 15.
- clinical hypodermatosis (with formed nodules): 1 ml per 50 kg body weight during the period from March to September.
Before mass treatment, test Ecomectin 1% on 5-10 animals. The observation period is 2-3 days. 

Withdrawal period

Cattle, sheep, horses (meat): 21 days.
Pigs: 28 days.
Not authorised for use in lactating animals producing milk for human consumption.

Shelf life

Shelf life of the veterinary medicinal product as packaged for sale: 2 years.
Shelf life after first opening the container: 28 days.

Storage conditions

Store in the original package between 5°C to 25°C, protected from light and moisture.
