Tetramisole 20% BT

200 mg/g Tetramisole hydrochloride Powder for oral use

Prevention and treatment of nematode infections. Tetramisole 20% BT is affective against dictyocaulosis in cattle, sheep and goats; haemonchosis, strongyloidiasis, nematodirosis in sheep and goats; metastrongylosis, ascariosis, esophagostomiasis and other gastrointestinal nematodes in swine; ascariosis, capillariasis, heterakis, amidostomosis, syngamosis in poultry; philometroidosis, anguillicosis in fish.
Tetramisole 20% BT is an effective anthelmintic nematicide, active against intestinal and pulmonary nematodes, as well as nematodes located in other tissues and organs of animals (Haemonchus spp., Ostertagia spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Nematodirus spp., Bunostomum spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Cooperia spp., Dictyocaulus spp., Strongyloides papillosus in ruminants; Ascaris suum, Strongyloides ransomi, Metastrоngylus spp., Oesophagostomum spp. in swine; Philometroides lusiana, Philometroides lusiana in fish).

Dosage and administration

Tetramisole 20% BT is administered as a single dose treatment mixed with a little amount of feed:
Cattle, sheep, goats: 0,0375-0,075 g/kg body weight. Sheep and goats should be dewormed prior to moving to a clean pasture and at the beginning of the winter. 
Ewes: 4-6 weeks before lambing and repeatedly after weaning of lambs. Lambs are treated once after weaning.
Pigs: 0,05 g/kg body weight
Poultry: 0,1 g/kg body weight in the second half of the growing period.
Sows: as a single dose treatment 14 days before farrowing
Philometroidosisin carp: 0,5 -1,0 kg/ton of feed
Anguillicosis: 100 g/1 000 l of water for 60 minutes or 500 g per 1000 l of water for 30 minutes.
Commercial fish farming or transportation: 6 kg/ton of feed once a day for 2 days.
Each batch of the drug should be tested on a small group of animals (10 animals or birds of different age and body weight) prior to mass treatment. If adverse reactions (tremor of muscles, abundant salivation and diarrhea) are not observed within 3 days, entire herd can be treated.

Meat: 7 days 
Milk and eggs: 4 days 
Fish: 14 days  
Eel: 30 days

Shelf life of the veterinary medicinal product as packaged for sale: 3 years.

Storage conditions

Store in the original package between 5° to 25°C, protected from light and moisture.
