Tildifort 4 %
The drug is used for the treatment of pigs with diseases of the respiratory system (actinobacillary pleuropneumonia, Haemophilus polyserositis, pasteurellosis, bordetellosis, and atrophic rhinitis) and other infections of bacterial etiology, the causative agents of which are sensitive to tildipirosin.
The drug belongs to the antibacterial agents of the macrolide group. Tildipirosin is a semi-synthetic macrolide with a 16-membered cycle. The mechanism of action is associated with the inhibition of the biosynthesis of essential proteins by selectively binding to bacterial ribosomal RNA and acts by blocking the elongation of the peptide chain. It has antimicrobial activity against: Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica and Haemophilus parasuis. In vitro, the effect of tildipirosin is bacteriostatic against Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica, and bactericidal against Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Haemophilus parasuis.
