Intramammary suspension for cows

For the prevention (one-step drying off) and treatment of mastitis caused by bacteria sensitive to cephalosporins in cows at drying off.
Cefamast DC exhibits effective antimicrobial activity against main pathogens, including penicillin resistant strains, causing mastitis in dairy cows.
Cefapirin is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It has a broad-spectrum bactericidal action against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative aerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria: Arcanobacterium pyogenes, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus uberis, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Corynebacterium bovis, Proteus vulgaris, Clostridium perfringens and other pathogens, except enterococci.

Dosage and administration

For intramammary administration: infuse 1 syringe per quarter immediately after final milking. Treatment to be at least 35 days before calving.
Before use, milk the udder completely out. Care must be taken not to introduce infection into the udder. Clean the teat thoroughly with a teat wipe and allow to dry. Remove the cap from the end of the nozzle of the syringe, insert the nozzle carefully into the opening of the teat, and infuse the full contents of the syringe slowly into the teat canal. Gently massage the quarter to disperse the suspension upwards. Warm up the medication to 36°С - 39°С before use.

Milk: 35 days
Meat: 14 days
